Stage 1: Idea Showcase
Give elevator pitches to fellow students to validate your idea. Crowd favorite wins cash.

Stage 2: Social Product
A Minimum Viable Product is tested with a target population and you’re ready to grow.

Stage 3: Social Venture
Prove sustainability of the early-stage solution by measuring the validated impacts of the venture.

Stage 4: Milestone
Get paired with a mentor to set individual milestones and receive additional funding.

Am I eligible to pitch?
Any BYU student who owns a social venture can sign up for the pitching events.
Students in the Social Venture Class (MSB 471) will be prepared to pitch as part of the class curriculum, but participation in the class is not required to pitch.

The Process
Building: Write up a business plan and prepare a pitch deck for your social venture.
Screening: Present your pitch for the Ballard Social Impact Center and receive feedback to help you refine your pitch.
Pitching: Give a 10-15 minute pitch followed by 20-30 minutes of questioning by social entrepreneurs from throughout Utah.
